A new community project has been developed by local photographer Alan Carmichael of Capricorn Photography, ‘Tales from behind the counter’ is a project developed to support the local independent shops and businesses of Ilkley.
“This great project has been designed to engage the local residential community of Ilkley and give something back, what better way of doing this than putting together a visual and digital story-board, showcasing the exceptional local independent businesses of Ilkley,” Alan Carmichael, Capricorn Photography www.capricornphotography.co.uk
The storyboard will tell the tales of the owner behind the counter. Telling the story of why and how they got into business. This is a voluntary project put together by Alan Carmichael and Rachel Hatfield of Shoo Social Media.
“Not only will we create an exhibition of the local independent shop but we will also promote the storyboard across social media as well to reach those that cannot get to Ilkley,” Rachel Hatfield, Shoo Social Media.
Our work was also recognised by the local press and we have been featured in the Ilkley Gazette a great accolade of how we have helped Alan achieve his marketing goal and also we have been able to give back to the local community of Ilkley.
